Roofing and construction can be a smelly business. Commercial owners, shopping centers, hospitals and schools cannot risk having occupants exposed to toxic VOC solvents, vapors and odors. Even if the VOC are under the MSDS exposure levels, people can still smell the solvents and can think they are being harmed. Why risk shutting down the job, possible lawsuits and having a customer feel they have been exposed to a toxic substance? Common roof chemicals such as Xylene, Toulene and Diisocyanates can be very toxic to some people in low exposure levels.
Carbonweb® activated charcoal / carbon air filters filter out odors, including VOC solvents andchemicals vapors from asphalt and coal-tar fumes, cutback asphalt, blind nailing asphaltic cements, lap and flashing adhesives, single-ply adhesives, polyurethane foam, cold-applied products, solvent-borne dampproofing, primers, thinners, cleaners, degreasers and fuels vapors
Carbonweb® activated charcoal / carbon air filters are high performance filters made by imbedding different size charcoal / carbon pieces in a polyester filter media. Since activated charcoal / carbon uses surface area to adsorb gases, vapors and chemicals, the smaller the charcoal / carbon particle, within certain limits, the higher the percentage of its mass is surface area and therefore the more effective it is at adsorbing gases, vapors and chemicals.
Carbonweb® CW-90 charcoal / carbon air filters have 90 grams of activated charcol per square foot. Carbonweb® CW-90 filters rolls come in 100 foot lengths. Rolls are in 5 standard widths ranging from 15.375 inches to 30.00 inches. Cut the filters to the length and seal air intakes, using the filter as an blanket or cut to fit in the air intakes. These Filters absorb solvents and chemicals and over time will become saturated. When odors start becoming noticed again, remove and replace the filters. Do not re-use filters.
